The story behind the icon
The station takes its name from its position near the El Rosario Metro station.
In the 16th century the Jesuits held vast lands in the area of Azcapotzalco, where they built a church in honour of the Virgin of the Rosary. The station icon represents a rosary, the same as that of the Metro station.
