The story behind the icon
The station image is the foot of a conchero dancer, with rattles at the ankles that in dancing imitate the sound of little bells. Coyuya is a Nahuatl word meaning where the little bells are made. Various municipalities in the republic are also so called.
Coyuya lies on Eje 3 Oriente, Avenida Francisco del Paso y Troncoso, under the road bridge of Eje 4 Sur, Avenida Plutarco Elías Calles; it gives access to Avenida Coyuya by the two footbridges on either side of Avenida Plutarco Elías Calles. The bridge has two entrances for passengers boarding and alighting from the means of transport.
