The story behind the icon
The station silhouette is the front part of an Aztec canoe sailing along a canal.
An important thoroughfare linking Calle 7 with Avenida Canal de Garay, both of which form part of the eastern stretch of the Anillo Periférico. As its name says, it was a canal that joined Texcoco with Xochimilco; it is now an avenue that links and crosses important neighbourhoods such as Agrícola Oriental, Tepalcates, Leyes de Reforma, Chinampac de Juárez, La Regadera, Unidad Vicente Guerrero and Constitución de 1917, among others.
