The story behind the icon
Tasqueña is the northern terminus of the Light Rail of Mexico City. It lies in the south of Mexico City, in the area called Taxqueña (Taxqueña is the original name of the area, and Tasqueña is the spelling used for some years now for the name of this station and of the Metro one). It connects with Line 2 of the Mexico City Metro at its southern terminus, although it is not part of it. The logo represents the silhouette of the moon, a deity worshipped in the area of Culhuacán, at the end of the Calzada Taxqueña. It seems that the icon and the name of the station and avenue bear no relation to each other.
