The story behind the icon
The station icon represents the emblem of the Centre of Scientific and Technological Studies (CECyT) Benito Juárez García. The station takes its name from its position in the Centro neighbourhood, near Vocacional 5. The history of C.E.C. y T. 5 goes back to 2 January 1941, when the director of the National Polytechnic Institute was the engineer Wilfrido Massieu Pérez, who inaugurated it in the building at República de Guatemala street No. 72. The branch of this vocational school is Social and Administrative Sciences.
