The story behind the icon
The icon of Villa Olímpica station represents the sculpture of Belgium created by Jacques Moeschal for the Route of Friendship of the Olympic Games in Mexico 1968.
During the Olympic Games, to lodge athletes, journalists and guests, the Olympic Village and the Coapa Village were built, which today are the housing estates Miguel Hidalgo and Narciso Mendoza respectively.
