The story behind the icon
The station icon represents the silhouette of General Vicente Guerrero. The station takes its name from its position in the Guerrero neighbourhood, and it is also an interchange with Lines 3 and B of the STC Metro.
Vicente Ramón Guerrero Saldaña was born on 10 August 1782 in Tixtla, in what is now the State of Guerrero, into a family of muleteers, traders and soldiers. In the viceregal period, being a muleteer by trade and well established brought privileges; his father's prosperity and the position of his uncle Diego Guerrero within the Spanish militia allowed him the most complete education of the time, through private tutors.
