The story behind the icon
The icon of Fuentes Brotantes station represents the glyph that identified the Tochihuitl, the old Nahuatl name of the Fuentes Brotantes.
From the 16th century Tlalpan was established as a Spanish foundation on the hills and the ravine of the Tochihuitl, west of its present site. Because of the beauty of the place it has been used as one of the tourist destinations around the capital.
