The story behind the icon
The station takes its name from the street on which it stands: Avenida Francisco Morazán.
Francisco Morazán was a Costa Rican politician and soldier who had great influence and importance in Central America, especially in Honduras. He is known above all for his government in the Federal Republic of Central America and for his victory in the battle of La Trinidad on 11 November 1972 on Honduran soil. The station icon represents the bust of Francisco Morazán.
