The story behind the icon

The station icon represents a closed book, on whose cover there is a speech scroll, the Nahuatl symbol of the word. The station takes its name from its position in the Jardín Balbuena neighbourhood, on Cecilio Robelo street. Although Cecilio A. Robelo was a jurist and governor of the state of Morelos, he is remembered for his work as a philologist in the Mexican Academy of Language and for his particular interest in Nahuatl culture and in the aztequismos remaining in Mexican speech, since he always believed that the education of a native would be incomplete unless he learned an indigenous language.
