The story behind the icon
The station icon represents the symbol of the Cuauhtémoc borough. The station takes its name from its position at the seat of the Cuauhtémoc political borough. The Cuauhtémoc borough adjoins the boroughs of Azcapotzalco, Gustavo I. Madero, Iztacalco, Benito Juárez, Miguel Hidalgo and Venustiano Carranza. This borough is notable for holding within it the Templo Mayor, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Palace and Bellas Artes, among other architectural works characteristic of Mexico City.
