The story behind the icon
The station icon represents a capital letter T, a number 1 and an aeroplane in take-off position. The station takes its name from its position in Terminal 1 of the Benito Juárez International Airport. In its beginnings, the International Airport of Mexico City bore the name of Central Air Port and later Central Airport. International terminal 1 of the airport was divided into two sections, the first for flights to North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania and Africa, and the second for flights to Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
