The story behind the icon
It represents the arch or gate. A stone structure that served as a customs post to control the traffic of goods coming and going along the stretch between Mixquic and Tetelco.

Its name is made up of the words tlalli, earth, and tentli: at the edge of the land or at the edge of the hills.
