The story behind the icon
The rendering of the logo refers to another meaning of the word Tláhuac: place where cuítlal is gathered, derived from the word cuítlal, the name of an alga that grew in the lake of Xochimilco; it also simplifies the logo of the Tláhuac borough.
Toponymy:
In an esoteric sense, the name Tláhuac means land that emerges, a connotation related to the position of Cuitláhuac, at the mouth that joined the lakes of Xochimilco and Chalco.
