The story behind the icon

The station image is of three trees.

A recreational park in the north-east of Mexico City, it was inaugurated on 20 November 1964 on land that had been the paddocks of the old hacienda of Aragón, between Eje 4 Norte and avenues 508, 535, 567, Francisco I. Madero and Oceanía. Reforestation work has now been undertaken; the project includes the planting of 19,000 trees from the nurseries of Coyoacán. Among the facilities of the park is the dolphinarium where, besides the weekend shows, dolphin-therapy sessions are held for people with disabilities. The bathing area has a service of palapas for visitors, and throughout the park there are cabins to rent for parties. The Aragón zoo is one of the places that has specialised in breeding the Mexican wolf. Besides these specimens, the zoo has six wolves of the Aragón subspecies.
