The story behind the icon

It stands on Avenida Central and takes its name from the naming of one of the nearby neighbourhoods, which uses the names of the signs of the zodiac. Its symbol represents the Sun with its rays, with the waning Moon inscribed within.

Besides the regular (Ordinario) service, Line 3 (Chimalhuacán – Pantitlán) runs four Express services that skip stations: Express 1 (Acuitlapilco – Pantitlán, 13 stops, 37 min, daily), Express 2 (Chimalhuacán – Pantitlán, 8 stops, 40 min, Monday to Saturday), Express 3 (Rayito de Sol – Pantitlán, 8 stops, 22 min, Monday to Friday) and Express Rosa (Chimalhuacán – Pantitlán, 10 stops, 40 min, Monday to Saturday), which is for women only. They all use the same platforms as the regular service, so you can switch service at any shared station.
