The story behind the icon

It stands on Avenida Vía José López Portillo, corner of Venustiano Carranza. It takes its name from Venustiano Carranza street, which crosses the Vía López Portillo near the station, and its symbol represents the silhouette of the 44th president of Mexico, Venustiano Carranza, who governed from 1 May 1917 to 21 May 1920.
