The story behind the icon

It stands at Avenida General Vicente Villada, corner of Las Mañanitas street, and takes its name from its nearness to that street. Las mañanitas is a traditional Mexican song commonly sung at birthday celebrations and usually performed by mariachi bands. Its symbol represents a small group of mariachis.
