The story behind the icon
The station icon represents the silhouette of the Virgin of Guadalupe, which stands above a river. The station takes its name from its position on Avenida Eje 3 Oriente, near Avenida Río de Guadalupe street. The Guadalupe river was a watercourse that existed in Mexico City before it was piped.
