The story behind the icon
It stands on Insurgentes Sur and owes its name to its nearness to the University Cultural Centre (CCU by its initials); its icon is the same one used as the symbol representing the Coordination of Cultural Diffusion of the UNAM, and it is taken from the sculpture by Rufino Tamayo known as The Ear of Corn.
